    Freelander Auto/Manual

    Hi I tow a 1700kg van with a range rover auto. I find it superb, but when on local roads or in slow moving traffic I drop it into 3rd or 2nd to prevent the auto box from hunting a higher gear. This helps prevent from over heating. Once you've had an auto you wouldn't want to go back to a manual.

    Tow Cars for Hire; HELP

    Hi we tried to hire a vehicle to tow our caravan at easter. I rang around loads of places (local and national) with no joy.     Sites in Northamptonshire

    we stayed at Billing aquadrome a few years back and was very disapointed with the quality of the site. It certainly wasn't CC site standards.

    skipton

    We have stayed at Strid Wood before and it is a very nice site, with nice walks along the river to the Abbey. Also Wharfedale at Grassington is very nice but is about 10/15 minute drive to skipton.

    Caravan club

    You should be able to. I only sign in if I want to make a booking. Otherwise I can still view the sites online. If not contact the club and they would send you a sites brochure. Another good point is that sites can be booked on-line and also a calendar kept of your bookings for the year.

    We joined the CC club in 1995 while staying at Crystal Palace. We booked in as non-members and the warden said if we joined while we were there she would deduct the difference between member and non-member from our fee. (Which I think was about 5 nights @
