We used to take Dover Dunkirk route thru Lille, Belgium, Luxembourg, but now the fares are much cheaper with Brittany Ferries. We've booked our crossings. We want to visit some places on the way.

We take the caravan north from Bridport to Crewkerne and then to A303 because we live south of Bristol. It's okay but a bit fiddly, with several towns along the route. Stick to the Chard route, I think.

Many thanks JRT. Disconnected the door latch plug-in connector and the noise stopped! The fridge is still working, now on mains electricity. I prised the cover off (with difficulty) and removed the switch, where some condensation was present. I've now replaced the latch so all's well. I guess...

The Dometic RM8400 fridge in my Elddis Crusader Shamal has suddenly started to sound the "door open" alarm. It sounds every 2.5 minutes, both on gas and mains electric. The door is shut correctly. The 12v fuse is intact and clean. The warning light does not show when the beeping is on. The...

The circulation pump in the Alde 3020 heating system in my Elddis Crusader Shamal has stopped working. It will run when removed from the header tank if coaxed but stops when reinserted in the tank. Can this pump be repaired or do I have to buy a new one at £160? Thanks for any advice. Alan

To save wearing the carpets supplied with my caravan I have bought gel backed carpet from IKEA, cut it to suit and it worked well. I need to replace the carpet after several years use but IKEA doesn't sell this type of carpet any more. Has anybody got a solution?

We always fill up with fuel on the Continent. It's €1.40 for gasoleo A today around Santander. So that's about £1.20.

I must be getting senile! My post #13 says it's a £600 difference between sailing to Santander and going through France - it should be £60. Also, C&CC Chichester Site opens on 4 February. We'll be going there.

We're sailing to Santander in February (see previous posts), staying 2 months in Spain and returning via France. Does anybody know what the French regulations are currently, such as Covid pass , Attestation de Voyage etc.? It would be useful for planning. Thanks Alan

We're still planning our trip to Santander on 22 Feb. Now we shall stay at the C&C Club Site at Chichester. It's 10 miles from the ferry terminal and is open now.
