We had a porch awning for about 5 years, the side of which unavoidably ran across the toilet window - I simply placed a short length of 15mm pipe insilation on the edge of the canvas - and never had a scratch.

It's very busy during school holidays as it's popular with tenters ... and they now have safari tents and pods which are also very popular - hence we've only been in Feb/March and Oct/Nov.

I bought up this business of a "visual deterrent" with both Swift and Alko a few years ago, as I also cover the lock with the awning - the former never replied and the latter just sent me a tiny sticker to put on an offside window saying something like "Beware, Alko lock fitted" ! Aldo PS It...

This happened to me last summer, virtually word-for-word as described above. You have to ask ... if these chargers are as "smart" as the manufacturers claim, why aren't they clever enough to detect that they're suddenly pushing large amounts of charge into a battery that's obviously in trouble?

All you need to clean your water system is Milton, which you can get from your local chemist. We use it in tablet form. Aldo
