    Towing in 4 X 4

    Does anyone know why the local Mitsubishi dealer says that when towing with my 2004 model Shogun diesel, it must be in 4 wheel drive. This makes the fuel consumption drop considerably and must add wear and tare to the system. Any help or advice would be grateful.
