I am pretty sure it is law to have a towing mirror fitted to the offside when towing. I read that somewhere, towsure catalogue I think!

you are right that on paper the match looks ok. however you are also right about the 2.0DTi zafira having a maximum tow limit of 1050Kg which must not be exceeded. Even unladen the van would be too heavy for the zafira. Funny how the diesel has a lower limit than the other zafiras even less than...

Thanks John I am aware it is not law, it was merely a turn of phrase. On the other hand I do know of someone who was fined for towing a caravan which was around 95-99% of the vehicle weight. He tried to use the argument in court and lost.
