Has anyone tried using a temporary repair cartridge and a compressor to save the weight of the spare tyre? I run a 3500 Kg Hymer that is very close to its max permissible weight. I see a number of new cars don't now have spares - just the tube of gunk and the compressor. Any one have ideas...

Hi I've been looking at the advertising claims for air springs. I have a 12 year old Hymer Starline on a 3.5 tonne Merc chassis. I can't afford the full 4 wheel monte (£sillymoney). Will I get any benefit from a rear axle fit or am I better spending the money on a refillable propane system...
