    We use a step ladder too. The main reason for the stepladder is to reach the roofbox

    Awning glide in the rail and I pull and he pushes. That bit is done in a few minutes. Each time we put it up it gets quicker. It would take longer for us to zip the big panels back in than to thread it through the rail.

    We e only done one stop at services. Wetherby and it was perfect. Shown to a space as it was busy but one just leaving as we turned up. Drive through space otherwise we could have used HGV area. Wetherby also has dedicated dog walk.

    Would highly recommend towing lessons. I’ve never towed anything and now I’m very happy and confident towing an 8m x 2.45m double axle. I was t until I went on a weekend long club course.

    We live north west edge of Toon so avoid all that for this next trip, but have to say it hasn’t been a problem going through the roadworks on the A1 with the caravan.

    Accessing the toilet involves moving the awning away from the bathroom door. Other half will worry about not having the steadies down as the loo is right at the back.
