Buying a caravan for the first time

Hazel, We have a 6 berth van new this year and both the top bunks, one fixed & one fold-up over side dinette carry a warning sticker that says they are designed for a person weighing up to 11 stones (70KG) but nothing on the bottom bunks. I would use the bottom bunks for the bigger kids

    thule bike roof carriers

Pete, the 530 is fully adjustable for different sized bikes, as Happy-lappy said for larger bikes you need the roof rails directly under the wheels to support the weight. Not sure if later models have changed as my 530 carrier has the fold down clamps for mounting the rack to the rails and on...

    thule bike roof carriers

Hi Pete, I use the Thule 530 bike carriers, there very easy to fit to the roof bars and simple to load the bikes (even on a tall people carrier). I use them with the Thule aero bars. Excellent quality products and would recommend

I think there is a collar around the pipes as they enter the tap, try pushing this collar/ring in before pulling the pipe

If you use a tow bar mounted bike rack you will have to minus the total weight of the three bikes off your "MAX ball weight"

    Dorema Vitesse Porch Awning

We used a vitesse (green) and the annex for 3 years, very simple to erect, a good size for a porch, annex fit both ends which gives flexibility for different locations. The only down side I found, in strong winds the fibre poles bend by the side of the caravan allowing the wind inside the...

    1.6 Zafia

Hi Mick, I had a 2000 1.8 petrol Zafira, did all the servicing as required including cam belt my self and it never let me down once in 5years. The only one item that failed was the bearings in the alternator which you could hear well before it failed. It was an excellent family car and a very...

Hi again, just been thinking, if you've not yet bought a hitch lock or stabiliser alko do a "AKS 3004 stabiliser triple pack" with a hitch lock included

    Bailey Ranger 620/6 newbie

Hi, on this range equipment like the stabiliser, spare wheel and carrier would have been optional extras I would always recommend the use of a stabiliser

Ford Mondeo ST TDCI 2007 old shape 12n wiring - do i need a b...

Hi, I would always recommend a plug in kit; there are non ford kits available of the same quality. This will give top quality results for very little effort/hassle. If this route is to expensive then I would recommend the use of a by-pass relay as this stops the problem of dimming lights that...

which lightweight gas bottles to choose?

Hi, Just had a look on calor website. The new Calor LiteTM cylinders are 49.7% lighter than the current Calor 6Kg. The weight percentage will be about the cylinder as they still hold 6kg of propane. As rogerL has said they are made from high strength steel. If you go to a calor centre there is...
