The filter seemed to be in one piece an full of carbon granules but I will check. Is there a website that will show me how to dismantle the taps ? Sorry to be a pain still very much a novice at this.

Sorry forgot to add also have same issue when I use the external pump too.

Sawed filter in half in the end and replaced with pipe now many thanks. However having water flow problems now please see post about if the system needs bleeding.
