    The dreaded Swift crack.

I came across the instructions/advice years ago but the print was super small and as it was horizontal and at ceiling height it took some perseverance to decipher.

Surprised at lack of comment on caravan industry economic issues.

Sorry, I may have missed earlier comments but what is a PVC?

Nose gauge & weight distribution problems

So that's a 5+% tolerance. . I think it's all relative. Bathroom scales, noseweight gauges: If you're somewhere near that's good enough for me.

Nose gauge & weight distribution problems

I'm not sure bathroom scales are more accurate. I don't remember seeing any proof of tolerance or standards the last time I bought bathroom scales. . But I do prefer to weigh myself when staying at my son's house.

    MRO question

Just to add mud to the waters, I've weighed a couple of 'vans on a weighbridge and their accuracy was plus/minus 20kg. . So that could be a 40kg tolerance. On a medium/small caravan that could be 25% of your payload.. I may be overthinking this and I'd be happy to be corrected.

    Mobile phone signals

We are doing a bit of Fred Drift here, but I agree, a great tow car. I filled mine with petrol and after a mile it stopped. . Local garage drained and refilled with diesel but 1000 miles later it when into limp mode due to a disintegrated fuel pump. . All fixed on warranty. . Happy days.

Prof. Great idea using waste pipes instead of air tubes. Great temporary/permanent solution. Definitely thinking outside the box.

    Opinions on Starlink

My son used Starlink for 12 months. . He couldn't fault it, although it was interesting how he got it secured to the roof of his caravan. . He used rubber suction gab handles. He doesn't use it now as funds are in short supply. .

    Roof Mounted Caravan Canopy Awning

Interesting. I was thinking of having one on the caravan roof electrically powered but the added complications of a glued down flat solar panel and an aerial in the mounting area put me off. I'm sure it would be possible but my caravan specialist didn't instil me with confidence. If he'd said...
