Heaps of firewood! We have a bit of ground, our own campsite in the DNP, where I cook over the fire all the time. I did not count that! We have a gas Outback at home, we use that more than the kitchen if it ain’t “persistently” raining. I cut, ring and hand split all my wood. 👍

That’s a shame Roger! ☹️. My wife is a Shetlander, moved down to Devon when she was 10 years old. She has been back, but it’s my first time. 👍

No, we had a shower yesterday morning, but a very dry and hot week. Don’t know about today, we are in Scotland at the moment, it rained up north, and showers here at the moment. Driving to Aberdeen tomorrow, then ferry to Shetland.

I got stuck behind some cows today, that was smelly! Then just five minutes away some of farmer Powell’s sheep were on the road. What is one to do? 🤷

I genuinely believe the fear of crime is greater than being a victim, I personally don’t know anyone who has had their car stolen, and having an alarm fitted is well down my list of priorities. BUT, we are weak on crime, weak, weak, weak. We need to get a grip.

Yes, it would make for an all round better quality of life, for sure. Wyoming, considerably larger than the U.K., less than 600,000 population………SPACE!

Last year, my wife and I had a three week road trip in the US, taking in Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and just into California, over 2000 miles. I have no idea how many par parks we used, but it would have been dozens……..We never paid once to park. Same in France. RIP off...
