Yes, electric does take priority but when heating from cold the gas will also be used to speed things up.

A lot depends on how cold your van is at switch on. Assuming a cold winter start I would expect ours to take at least two hours to get all the fixtures and fittings as well as the air up to a reasonable temperature. If we are on a hook-up I set it to use both gas and electric power.

I've never been able to obtain a remotely competitive quotation from the CMC so will no longer bother. I do shop around each year for all policies, but I'd rather not have to.

Welcome to this forum. Nice to read that you are getting a lot of use from your caravan. Have you any preference as to your touring area or sites?

That looks like a very nice caravan. Like Parksy I have little knowledge of sites in Kent in spite being born a Kentish Man, but I'm sure others will help. My advice is not to travel too far from home, the closer the better. Our first couple of nights were spent on our storage sites facility...

I find clicking on the "New posts" feature on the top left a very helpful shortcut.

I may be completely wrong on this, but I recollect (I think I recollect :cautious:) reading that the site is being taken over by the CMC after negotiations with the local authority owners so is not necessarily lost to us. Perhaps others can add more definite news.

We tend to use CL and CS sites as we don't need anything other than basic facilities.
