    Light weight wheel clamps

I have the Alco hitch lock and have recently bought a lightweight one for the wheel. Have a look on EBay under 'Wheel Clamps'. I bought a Motorlock which fits across the wheel from left to right. Price in the region of

    Practical Caravan Beware!

I agree. PC is getting boring to read of late. I know adverts keep the price down but do we really need page after page of them. I wonder if the Editor takes much notice of his/her readers. I havent had a chance to see the new mag yet, but will look out for it and give it a look see.

    best route to south wales

Hi there. Must say that I agree with the other comments on using the M50. Its a great road for towing on, even when a little busy. Just watch your speed just before the junction with the M4. There is a long gentle down hill slope before an uphill stretch. The local boys in blue quite often...

    Insurance advice please

Like the previous entry, I am with the Caravan Club and made a claim for damage to the van. I found them most helpful and efficient and everything was dealt with fast and efficiently. Their premiums are very favourable compared with a lot of the others. Go for it.

    Advice on wheel clamps please

Clamps I have the same size wheel with little clearance under the wheel arch. I had a look on E Bay under 'Wheel clamps' and managed to get a decent one which basically fits from side to side. I believe the name was Moto Lock. I also have a mator mover fitted which does not cause any problems.

    omega

I have a Bailey Pageant Loire 525 and tow with an Omega 2.2CD Petrol Manual. Terrific tow car. I've had it converted to run on LPG as a dual fuel vehicle. No problem with towing when in LPG and do not notice the difference when towing in petrol mode - except for leaving me with more money in...

    ULTRASEAL

I've used Ultraseal after winning it in a Caravan Magazine 'Give away' . It hasn't affected the running in the least. So far (touch wood) I have not had a puncture so cannot speak on that side other than having seen the firms demo's at the Caravan Club National Show - I was impressed then.

    Caravan Guarantees

Anyone tell me why caravan guarantees are different from Car Guarantees ? If I buy any make of car, any fault developing is covered by the manufacturer irespective of who made the part. The part would have the same length of guarantee as the car. Depite my caravan having a three year...

    ultraseal tyre kit

I've had this kit in my van tyres for the last twelve months after having won it in a PC Give away. It doesn't affect the towing stability and I had no trouble inserting it in the tyres. I intend using it again when I renew the tyres on the van. Must admit though that I have not checked to...

    is this a bargan

Sounds as though the van would cost a bit to put right.New windows are expensive and the spongy floor could be a sign of delamination, that in itself is an expensive job and unless you have previous knowledge of this type of work, is best left to the experts. Reckon that the repairs would far...

    Pneumatic Jockey wheel

I had a motor mover fitted and found that quite often my solid tyre tended to 'dig in' on soft ground. I was advised to go for the pneumatic type, unfortunately due to the width of the tyre, it would not fit the old jockey wheel mount and I had to buy the complete jockey wheel. I did this and...

    Wheel clamps

I have a Bailey Pageant and am looking for a wheel clamp which covers the wheel nuts or stops removal of the wheel trim. Lack of clearance between top of wheel and wheel arch cancels out some clamps. Any Bailey Pageant owner out there with any suggestions ?

    dethleffs dl 520

In the past I have owned three of this make of van. Though not in recent years. I've always found them to be of excellent quality and build. Main problem in the UK was lack of dealers. That should be OK now. Make sure the dealer is near you and check on insurance - some companies put an...

    Awning sizing

Steve, most awnings have a size tan on them which is stitched in somewhere along the length of the roof panel where it is stitched to the gutter strip. If your lucky, yours might still have it attached and readable.

    Gaslow cylinders

Hi Dave, me again, more info on the bottles. If you contact MTH Autogas on 01594 563 538 you will find them very helpful and customer friendly. I've been using my Lightw8 cylinder for over sixmonths - no problems whatsoever though some calor stations will not fill you up(on advice from Calor...
