More sockets, external socket on a Bailey Ranger 550/6: wher...

Hi Sillybilly The socket is on the panel at the side of the rearmost seat, at floor level, almost opposite the toilet door. Easy access for using in the rear bunks at night once we are allin for the night, and for the ladies to use their various hair dryers etc (I also fitted a full length...

    haggerston castle any good?

Hi Phillip We stayed at Haggerston Castle for 4 nights during the Easter school holidays. I have to say the entertainment facilities, pool etc were good. However, the touring facilities were an absolute disgrace. Yes there had been a lot of rain and the park was muddy, but you cant tell me...

More sockets, external socket on a Bailey Ranger 550/6: wher...

Hi SillyBilly I am afraid I took the easy option and had the dealer fit two extra sockets in my 550/6. One at the rear of the dide dinette and another higher up near to the sink (but the other side of the trim so it cant be splashed)

Towing Mirrors- The Law - E marks

Barry Also as a caravanner, serving traffic cop, vehicle examiner and collision investigator, I can find nothing in the legislation that states it is an offence to have the older E marked mirrors fitted to a newer car, so long as their design, manufacture, fitting and condition comply with the...

Towing Mirrors- The Law - E marks

I think it would be fair to say that Nigel's post was well meaning. However, i have had a good look through the legislation, and although it is pretty confusing, the EEc directices and E marks refer to the manufacturing of the product. Nowhere in the legislation, can I find any mention of...

    Thanks Mods!

Hi All I missed most of the 'fun' last night, so didnt here or read any of the posts. I was in the chat room late on with Gary and GOXP and they were each giving as good as they got from each other. The bottom line is, regardless of who is most to blame, as the saying goes "it takes 2 to...

    Bye..

Gavin/Scotch Lad Thanks for your kind words Gavin. Love the email. As you may be aware from other posts, that is my chosen profession (although not with the force in question). A copy of the email was circulated at work and would have made us laugh had it not been so close to the truth...

Hi Richard We went to Kiln Park in the summer. It has anindoor and outdoor pool. It was not a bad site compared to other Haven sites, although i dont know if it is openat this time of year. The touring facilities were pretty good although very busy in July. Ewan

    Greetings From Sweden. Revised edition

At -20 or -30 I dont think I would even make it out of the drive, never mind to a caravan site. Everything would be frozen (including all the fluids used in the 'van) Lol. If I tried putting the awning up in those temperatures, the time it takes me I wouldnt be seen till spring. (No laughing...

    Red Arrows Olympics Ban

Yes, they are Military pilots, but the point I was trying to make (perhaps not very clearly) was that the way the aircraft are painted and the use the red arrows are put to is not militaristic. They are showing off the pilots skill not the lethal potential of the plane. We will just have to...

    Red Arrows Olympics Ban

I have just checked their website and I stand corrected. They do have small roundels on the fuselage and the words 'Royal Air Force' in small letters beneath the cockpit. I still stand by my argument though that these aircraft are anything but militaristic. When they do their displays with...
