If the battery is knackered, electrolite levels correct, wont hold a charge, its had it

I totally agree, being a retired electrician, caravan electrics are very simple

I would try a new battery first as a knackered battery could still bring the voltage down, how old is the battery? If its no good then even if its your charger thats faulty then you have eliminated halve the problem and you needed a new battery anyway!

Re Adria rooflight, sent pics to dealer, ordered just the outer rectangular dome, £476, 6 to 8 weeks delivery. Being a Yorkshireman, I had to lay down in a dark room for several hours after paying for it.

Ive got to agree, although we are talking 8ft. plus, the difference from 7 ft.3 in to 8ft.1" is 10" . Thats only 5" either side!

We have been waiting for the right 8ft. Adria because of the build quality, and in our opinion it is so much better than our other vans i.e. Sprite, Sterling, Elddis, although the Elddis was better than Sprite and Sterling. I repeat, only in our opinion

Regarding towing mirrors, dont know make as they came with van, previous owner stopped towing, but the mirrors are large teardrop shaped if thats any help.

Just collected 8ft wide Adria from Oxfordshire, mtplm 2000kg .400 mile round trip, I tow with Mercedes ML 320 cdi, did not seem much different than Sterling Elite, just used bigger towing mirrors.

Sent off email with pics and sizes, year, vin number, model, now been told that it could be Heki by another spares supplier! I wait with baited breath and everything crossed. Thanks for all your help, will let you know of further developments
