    Indicators on cars

One of my older cars is American and the indicators are the same as they used to be here many moons ago, clear at the front and red at the rear. The rear ones are actually the brake lights that flash on/off depending which side is used but at the front the sidelight flashes, not easy to see...

    Indicators on cars

No, I have one and they're standard. However, they're for ornamental use only!!!! :ROFLMAO:

    Indicators on cars

Yes, one particular car (could be a Vauxhall) has the rear indicator so close to the (very bright) brake light that you can hardly see it if the car is braking and indicating at the same time.

    Cracks on front fibre-glass panels

They are stress cracks in the gel-coat. The only way to repair them is to grind all the cracks out and re-do them. I've done similar problems before on fibreglass car bodies and an invisible finish can be achieved BUT the whole area will need painting to match. As the rest of the panel will...

Caravan make and model recommendations+ Tow Car Setup for Young Family (Budget €35–40k)

We looked at the Adria range two years ago as we really liked the end bedroom layout in the Altea but the lack of local dealers put us off and we went for another Swift.

Is the streetwize 2 Tonne Steel Tow Bar any good for a micro teardrop?

Yes, it's nothing more than a rope that's been starched! An A-frame does away with the driver but they're a completely different minefield for laws/use. I've used an unbraked one a few times in my naivety of youth, not pleasant when trying to stop.

Is the streetwize 2 Tonne Steel Tow Bar any good for a micro teardrop?

The house behind the teardrop in the photo looks very "British" so probably over here and not the US. As everyone's said, tow bars are a custom made offering to suit individual vehicles, however, some vehicles cannot tow anything, even lightweights so it's always wise to check beforehand. As...

Caravan make and model recommendations+ Tow Car Setup for Young Family (Budget €35–40k)

Caravan-wise I'd look at the Swift Group, we had a 2014 Swift Challenger 586 which had the rear fixed bunks and a dinette opposite that made into additional beds/bunk PLUS a usable centre bathroom that had a decent amount of room. Swift caravans from 2014 onwards were the start of the SMART...

Sky satellite failure at Pen Y Bont park Bala.

There's a couple of blokes in Cumbria that could clear the view, but you'll have to hurry up as they'll be out of action for a while after they have had a chat with someone in a wig in July......

    Pole or air awning

It's as if they supply a bag that JUST fits the awning when it leaves the factory in it's completely deflated state! As soon as it's got a tiny bit of air in it or it's not re-rolled as it left the factory it never fits back in the bag!

    Volvo xc60

I had two Volvos in succession (2018 V90 D4 and 2022 V90 B4P), servicing is expensive if done by Volvo, on the 2018 model I paid an average of £400 a year for the first 3 services, but when I bought the 2022 model I negotiated a 3 year service plan for £300 all-in, bargain! My only word of...

    Pole or air awning

We're on the other side of the argument and prefer air! Comments from me: Air awnings are significantly heavier as everything is on one assembly (ie there's no separate bag with the poles in). The awning bag is fairly large (see point above). Due to the weight it can be a challenge/awkward for...

    Carrying bikes

I carry mine on a rear mounted rack on the caravan BUT mine's a carbon fibre racing bike, I've got heavier socks.... Depends how many bikes and how much they weigh if considering a rack on the caravan as (ignoring stability for a minute) a couple of bikes PLUS the rack can quickly eat away your...

    Service History/Purchase Opinion

A 2016 Swift will have the SMART construction (timber free structure, GRP inner walls and aluminium outer walls). SMART evolved over the years (now having GRP outer walls as well) and is regarded as being good so your chances of structural damage through damp are reduced. However, the floor...
