Touring sites with glamping pods, North Yorkshire?

Seeing as our friends are currently ‘between motorhomes’ (IE, they don’t have one at the moment) but we have a touring caravan, has anyone any recommendations for a site that has touring pitches AND pods in North Yorkshire please? Thanks!

    Alde heating, balancing?

Thanks for that. Any idea where the boiler actually is? I can’t find anything online or in the handbook.

    Alde heating, balancing?

Swift Elegance 565, near side radiators are ok, offside ones are cool/cold. Do they require some sort of balancing like some house radiators? If so, how?

    Motor mover switch Q.

Thanks for the replies so far. For clarification, the mover is a mechanically engaged type (big handle through 90 degrees) & the remote is activated by pressing 2 buttons at once.

    Motor mover switch Q.

What’s the problem (if any) of towing whilst the motor mover switch, ie, the orange key, is in the ‘on’ position? Obviously the remote control unit is switched off. Reason for asking is that ours is under a bed after it had to be moved because I can’t gain access to the leisure battery box...

What (watt) meter is it & how does it attach?

Thanks, that’s pretty close to what we used except we never had our internal heating on (Alde) just the water.

I don’t have a clue what ours is at home. Maybe I should read the meter. 😂😂

    Electricity usage on site…what’s..

The site fees were £20 per night which included 10KW per day, (in other words for 9 nights we paid £180 including 90KW) the charge for an extra 10KW was £3.30. The price of the electricity was irrelevant.

    Electricity usage on site…what’s..

Well judging by the replies it looks like we were using slightly over average. I blame the wife. She has a nasty habit of leaving the fridge door open while she’s faffing about, I keep telling her off but it’s like talking to a wall. What with that & the hair dryer & straighteners it’s no...

Yes I saw that, dunno why we were using so much! Oh hang on….wife’s hair dryer & straighteners! Forgot about those! 🤔🤔

    Electricity usage on site…what’s..

Thanks Plod, it’s not so much the cost I was wondering about, more the KW’s we were using per day on average.

That’s around the same as us. I reckon it cost us about £3.40/£3.50 a day, even though we had no ‘central’ heating on.

How to reduce consumption wasn’t really the question (however it’s good to know the shortcuts) I’m trying to find out what other people get through in case I’ve got a fault in the electrics.
