mike have spoken to both local dealers of kia & hyundi and the both say the models you mention have coolers fitted

if both outer edges are worn it sometimes mean underinflated tyres if just the center wears out it usally indicates overinflated tyres i would go to a tyre specalist to have tracking checked as well and ask there advice
