I recently bought a Mio MiVue 568 Touch, mainly for the motorhome, but got a spare cable and mount so that I can easily transfer it across to the car.
Video quality is excellent in both light and dark.

Hello Tinderboy,
It's sometimes difficult to advise or make recommendations as we all have differing expectations.
From personal experience, we bought a popular, lightweight and not inexpensive awning last year, which we could not use in light rain, due to it leaking and soaking our contents...
Hi Pauline,
I've been looking at the same booking, and with CC it comes out at £901.00, which is for a motorhome 8.67m long, 3.2m high, sailing out on 30/07 and returning on 14/08 next year. It's actually cheaper, again with CC, to do St Malo both ways (£811.00) but I'm guessing you're the same...
I do not know what system is on the roof of the Calypso, but when I tried to get crossrails for our Bessacarr MH, the aftermarket rails would not fit due to similar reasons as you have identified.
Our side rails are an oval profile, however there is a rebate, running the entire length of the...
Hi,
We've used a couple of cheaper supermarket own brand 12v TVs in the past and found them to be reliable enough, but heavy and the angle of viewing had to be fairly precise, otherwise the picture quality dropped markedly.
We're using 2 x Avtex digital TV/DVD combis in the MH at the moment...
This link may be a starter, but only if Cyril has access to the net, or can get a friend to print them off ....

Hi Casals,
You may have this sorted by now, but if not.....
Does your control panel have a method of directing the charge across to the cab battery and away from the leisure battery ?
I'm not familiar with the Chausson, but our Bessacarr gives priority to the leisure battery on hook up and...
Calcol83,
Try contacting Swift direct via http://www.swift-talk.co.uk/ and if it is available, they will advise you directly, with part number etc.

Hi Mike,
Don't know which ferry company you are using, but when we've used LD Lines from Portsmouth, we've had loads of headroom, I would say at least twice the height of the 'van. Brittany ferries from the same destination also had more than enough room. We had an air con unit fitted to the...
Hello again Steve,
Someone like Val is probably more up to date with info like that, but when we travelled in August 2010, I used my Nationwide Debit card for some transactions, and cash for the smaller amounts. I can't recall a toll booth on that stretch that didn't accept both, I think you...

Hi Steve,
I had the same thought as you last year, toll roads pricey, so we'll go on toll free roads. Never again!! Like you, we went through the tunnel, travelling to Le Pin Parasol in the Vendee. I planned 2 routes, using Via Michelin, using the toll roads, and toll free roads.
Although...
Totally agree - In fact I turned it off as it was bugging me so much.
A bit of blurring for artistic effect is one thing, but this was on so long that I felt as if I needed glasses.
The new show that followed was like a breath of fresh air and I hope it does well.

Hi All,
After selling the caravan and tow car in September 2009 and dipping our toes in the world of motorhoming, we have this week decided to sell the motorhome and return to the fold. We never strayed too far from the forum though and occasionally Lara or I would still drop a line or two...
