Law for Caravan & Trailer test should be changed.

TreborDee, Let me see if i get this right: you arent good enough to pass your driving test on the FIRST attempt, nor the SECOND attempt, yet your complaining you cant stick 2000kgs of caravan on the back of something and drag it up the country? I would suggest that this law was implemented to...

    Family Caravanning

Ive only ever used sites a handful of times, i rally mostly. My kids have grown up rallying, and they have had the most wonderful times on rallies, and still do. I dont think sites is for me, i like my kids to enjoy themselves as much as we do, as long as it doesnt upset anyone else. One thing...

    Vauxhall Omega 2.2 DTi

They did do a 2.5 BMW diesel unit in earlier ones, excellent engine. But the 2.2 DTi is considered to be the best diesel vauxhalls have ever made. Had 2 of them, albeit in Frontera, superb in every way.

    Avondale

Richard, i've just bought an Avondale, but an Argente 650.6. On the side of mine is what looks like a white nut. The water pump is built into the van, underneath the seats in the front. Big black thing, capable of superb pump pressure. Mine is aalmost as good as my house water. You will get a...

    OAP Driving tests

I agree with Jon, but Matthew gets the cigar. I train and test people on allsorts of equipment. Im qualified from electric pallet trucks, right through fork lifts, cranes and up to plant equipment, excavators, rough terrains etc etc. And everything inbetween. Now when training people, there is...

    4 x 4

Tina, sorry for my post sounding like i was looking down on people, far from it. But anyone whatsoever who can not consider safety in this day and age has got to ask themselves some serious questions. I have a caravan, i need a 4x4 to pull it for the weight as my van is heavy. But even if i...

    4 x 4

I think you all may have missed another point here. If anyone watched 5th gear last night, you will know. They did a crash test on 2 vehicles, a standard saloon car, mondeo i think, and an old shogun. Side impact, the shoguns bonnet actually went straight through the mondeo and contacted the...

Go down there about 100 yards, maybe a bit more, then turn...

    Wirral Caravans - shoddy repairs

Steve, being a Wirral-ite myself i've tried anyone who is anyone in Wirral for stuff. Trust me on this, Tern Caravans in Ledsham are bar none. Service is excellent, family run and they know their stuff. Bit of a daunting place when you go, looks like a back street garage in the middle of...
