    Cleaning upholstery

I have looked at a 2008 Bailey Bordeaux, there is a couple of problems with the van mainly the upholstery on the cushions is marked and needs a good clean, I have seen the one chem upholstery cleaner and I was wondering if anyone has used it or if they know of another cleaner I could use. Also...

    Brown Rigg C&CC site, Bellingham. . .

We love the site, we have been to Bellingham twice and we will go back in September. We found Barry and Carole friendly and helpful. If you like walking hareshore Linn is a lovely walk and finish off with a pint in the rose and crown. Clean, quiet and friendly, couldn't ask for more. Marc

    Replacement "Small" Caravan

We have the Compass Corona 362 which is the same layout as the Elddis Avante and we love our little van. The layout and size is ideal for us. Have a look at the April addition of Practical caravan and they did the comparison tests on the Dart 380/2, Pageant Majestic and the Corona 362. With the...

Water - Pulsing water taps !

Hi Marco I have a compass, on the inital purge I get the coughing and spluttering but after that its fine. I normally open both sink and shower room taps so the water doesn't come shooting out. If you think you are losing the water back down the pipes, purge your pipes and lift the pump out of...

What niggles you about your van?

The only niggles with my compass corana 362 is workmanship, screws not long enough to hold the sink panels in place in the shower room (now replaced and redone the silicone) and the useless status 315 aerial. Marc

    Electric Cables andJockey Wheels

It is a very stupid practice, I have seen a 110v extension cable at work melt and nearly cause a fire due to the cable still been left on the coil. I always ensure the cable is fully uncoiled and not left all heaped up. At the weekend I noticed a caravan with the jockey wheel up, I thought the...

Can anyone recommend a good set of towing mirrors.

When I bought the current mirrors I use when towing the van, they are cheap and cheerful ( £5 each ) but they are really are rubbish. I can see anything when I am travelling as they are bouncing all over the place. Can anyone recommend a set. Marc

    Caravan Safe

I have just bought a caravan safe from draper for less then £30, it can be fitted to a car if you wanted. It is well made and comes with all the fastenings to bolt it to the floor. Marc http://www.draper.co.uk/Pages/Pagesource/p110.pdf
