    Sun canopy

I think that you are being rightly cautious about leaving it up on a seasonal pitch when you are not there. It would be more susceptible to stormy conditions and You really wouldn’t be able to leave anything in there due to possible theft and, more likely, things like lightweight chairs and...

“Combined” Weighbridge weight correct or wrong?

There was a chap on a Facebook group complaining that he had weighed his caravan only with items included in MIRO ( although he may or may not have included a motor mover- there was some debate about that and what counted as MIRO) and found that the weight was over the MIRO by some margin. He...

    Newbie!!

We had the same problem on a previous van. It was an easy fix if you knew what to do. If you are getting a replacement bolt, might be worth getting a spare while you are at it- not long after one went, the steady on the opposite side joined the party. Mel

    Bubble has burst?

I wonder if there is some polarisation in the market; with preference to either premium sites, like Back of Beyond or Old Oaks ( we were there for the 10 days before this bank holiday weekend and it was almost full the whole time) or folks heading into the much cheaper few facilities sites. Thus...

    Water Pump

Try dunking the end of the pump up and down in the aquaroll in case there is air in it. Has worked for us in the past. Mel

    Carnaby Ashdale 2019 leaking

Hi. Welcome to the forum. This is primarily a touring caravan and motorhome forum; but there are a number of technically minded folks on here who may be able to give you good advice anyway. Good luck Mel

    First time on serviced pitch

We use the grey Colapz waste pipes as well as those hook peg things that DD showed. Much easier to store than a coil of grey pipe. Mel

Still have not got 12v fridge feed working!

Bear in mind that I am not technical, but two different AWS techs have told me that it is a good idea to run the fridge on gas periodically as it stops the burners getting clogged up with cobwebs and debris. Mel

    Wood blocks for leveling caravan

We think they are great. Lightweight and cushion the steadies as well. You do get a foot imprint on the white layer but it isn’t a problem, Mel

    Unicorn van?

Something like this? https://www.caravanfinder.co.uk/touring-caravans-for-sale/layouts-caravans/swift-coastline-550-used-caravan-2006-somerset-tg5279c52 As others said onboard water tank is too limiting and will make little difference to your shower. Or this...

Welcome to the forum. Don’t think that there are many (any?) folks on here from Norway. It will be interesting to hear about Caravanning there. Keep posting. Mel

Seasonal Caravan Pitching Awning on Concrete Standing.

Is it possible to position the caravan and awning so that the pegs fall just outside the concrete slab? Otherwise I can see no solution. What are others on the same site doing? Mel

Whale Space Heater - four red flashes and broken knob

Is it windy where you are. Whale heaters are notoriously sensitive o wind blowing directly onto the flue. If so see if you can divert the wind using the Aquaroll or moving your car around to that side of the van. Don’t block the flue though. Then press the reset button on the whale heater...
