    Bed size in Motorhome

Think time as come to change caravan to motorhome as I'm told that I'm now a little too old for towing. If I was to go along with this as I probably will, would like some advice on bed sizes. Me and the missus require separate beds and single beds that are the biggest. My question is, does any...

    Air Awning

Thanks Sprocket, I too have a Kampa 330, used once found it very good. Wasn't too sure about the instructions regarding the webbing straps, photos 2 & 3 in the instructions, may suggest a diagram would be better than photos. Anyway got it up quite quickly. I like the idea of rubber mating...

    Air Awning

Would it be worthwhile placing a barrier or protector at the base of the air poles of an air awning especially on hard standing pitches. Could the base become, in time, weakened due to scuffing? Am considering cutting three circular protectors in plywood for my new air awning. Would appreciate...

    Number Plates

Need to change the number plate on the caravan. Tried to remove the plate earlier today but couldn't remove it easily, the old plate is, I believe fastened with adhesive tape. Can't get any leverage on the plate to remove, any idea how I can remove the plate?

Thinking of a Vauxhall Antara, good idea?

If I was to come back to an Antara, why would I go for the 184 bh and not the 163 as others have done?

Thinking of a Vauxhall Antara, good idea?

Thanks everyone. When looking for new wheels as well as the Antara, I was also looking at a new X-trail or Kia Sorento. Started doubting the Antara which many of the comparison sites judged as not the best deal, although at the back of my mind, I couldn't understand. By the posts, it seems that...

Thinking of a Vauxhall Antara, good idea?

Wifey thinks we should change the car as it's getting on a bit. Am happy with our present X-trail 2.2 dci 4WD 54 plate which has done just 75,000. Looked at a number of new vehicles, tow an Olympus 534, and would like a lower weight ratio than my current X-trail at 85%. Looked for new Santa Fe...

    Sorento Weight Specification

Have just been looking at the car weight shown for the new Kia Sorento on the advertising website which states the following; e.g. Model 2.0 CRDi Maximum Kerbweight 1879 kg Minimum Kerbweight 1795 kg Gross Vehicle Weight 2510 kg I suppose the Gross Weight means the amount of weight...

    Truma Mover MK1

A number of months ago I had trouble with the electrics resulting in a low battery. Solved the problem with the forums help & replaced a fuse. Everything ok last month when I moved the van a short distance using the motor mover. Started to prepare for first trip & found the motor mover would not...

    Whats wrong with the electrics

Right, I've got it. The leisure battery feeds the electronics for switch-on etc. this would include the fridge light which I thought was strange as it was still lit when the 15 amp fuse had been removed. Thanks for clarifying regards MikeH

    Whats wrong with the electrics

Thanks Damian, Didn't realise that the fridge had a direct feed from the 12 volt leisure battery. I always thought that that switching off the master cut all power to all the units. If therefore, one was to leave the fridge on battery feed it would still be working even if the master switch is...
