“Combined” Weighbridge weight correct or wrong?

Around that time I may well have been that motorcyclist, it was an easy gig, find something to weigh, escort it to the checkpoint, then whizz off to find something else to weigh. No paperwork at all!

    ALKO JACKING POINT BRACKET.

I bought and fitted the heavier rated Alko brackets to my caravan. They are very substantial items and, as has been said, also sit against the underside of the floor to spread the load further. I did try my Alko sudelift jack with them, it all works a treat (but I would ALWAYS ensure tge caravan...

    Dometic 3way fridge not sparking

Is your igniter a piezo crystal type (where you press against resistance and it then suddenly moves in with a load click) Or an electric spark igniter that you just press a button for? If its the latter check the battery that powers it isn't depleted (usually an AA type)

    Shaving cream shock!

I have had a beard (very closely trimmed once a week) for over 40 years! I have an electric clipper that cost me around £15 many years ago! It started out black, its now totally white (apart from the goatee which is dyed blue)

Ah sorry, I misread your original post, I thought you hadnt detached the caravan, my mistake! . But in my defence you did say he only gave you a combined weight ticket.

“Combined” Weighbridge weight correct or wrong?

Sorry Buckman but your understanding is simply wrong in regards to the caravans weight. The weight on the towbar is still part of the caravans weight, it might be imposed on the towbar, but that doesnt alter things. Read my post re bathroom scales. I can assure you that the offence is still most...

“Combined” Weighbridge weight correct or wrong?

Lutz is correct. As someone who weighed many vehicles over the years, and prosecuted a fair few drivers I can state, without any doubt whatsoever, that the gross weight of this caravan would have been over 2000 Kg when weighed. Its like saying you just measured the front axle weight of a car and...

    Awning entrance

It's there to prevent (as far as possible) water from running down the outside of the door and into your awning so, unless you are happy to have some water entering your awning when it's raining, its best left to do it's intended job. Removing it won't have any effect on the awning. Your choice!

Yes, I have, I purchased a few lengths of the stuff, I believe from Amazon but cannot be sure. It works a treat.

    Carnaby Ashdale 2019 leaking

First off I would like to express my sorrow that you have discovered this issue. As far as insurance is concerned I dont think you have grounds to make a claim. It will almost certainly not be covered as it will be deemed "wear and tear" (check your policy wording very carefully because I could...
