    One for the books!

    As seen Stow Square recently......

    Trivia.

It looks like a hand vise for working, such as drawing, wire. Difficult to see from the photo whether it’s a left or right handed one…..

    Speeding

Whether you will have to advise your insurer will depend on the question they ask about driver’s convictions. Historically, insurers tended only to require speeding offences to be advised to them, if there were more than 2. Each insurer will have their own requirements, so it’s not possible to...

    Do you?

I use both the Alko Wheel Lock and a Hitchlock. My insurance requires at least one to be used when the caravan is left unattended, but I use both for added peace of mind.

    Powrtouch mover

It's possible that one of the motors has died. We had that issue (fortunately within warranty) when we arrived home after a trip. We contacted Truma (Powrtouch) who went through some diagnostics with us, which confirmed that one of the motors had died. They organised a replacement. If you are...

    Snapped Jockey wheel clamp handle

A new one should look like this:

    Snapped Jockey wheel clamp handle

Are you sure it was the clamp handle that the dealer replaced? From your second photo, that doesn't look new.

    Snapped Jockey wheel clamp handle

Exactly the same happened to me just after we arrived at a site near Grantham a couple of years ago. I doubt that the thread in the clamp is faulty, or crossed. It's probably metal fatigue from possibly overtightening the clamp. From the picture, the clamp handle doesn't look new, the handle...

    Slowly unwinding

Happened to me, arriving at a site. Ended up using the Milenco steps as a temporary rest for the towhitch, while we dashed off to Grantham Caravans to buy a replacement handle, and B&Q for some drill bits and stud extractors, to drill out the bit of stud still stuck in the clamp.

    Thetford Toilet Lights.

We have the same in our Vigo. On our very first trip out, I was convinced that the extra spaces meant that more lights would come on as the cassette got fuller, until three lights would indicate that the cassette was full, and needed emptying. I was soon proved wrong with a major Code Brown...

    Failed Whale Pump

I recently had a similar problem when my pump, which was fairly new, wouldn't switch off. Eventually, I found that the problem wasn't with the pump, but with the inlet socket. I found that a small piece of grass stem was stuck in the non return valve, not allowing it to close properly.

    Couple of issues

"the window blind clips seem to be falling off really easy, has anyone glued/sticky taped them on before to prevent this?" If you're talking about one of these: I usually stick them back up, using superglue (I was given this advice by the dealer from whom we bought the caravan).

    Failed Whale Pump

Yes, I retro fitted the ic controller to the Whale socket that came with my caravan, and used the Comet pump on our recent trip with no problems. As with the installation of any new pump, you have to calibrate the ic controller by opening the furthest cold tap on your water system. I would have...

    Failed Whale Pump

I am currently using a Comet pump (as per the article you're referring to) it's working perfectly. I've just bought another Comet pump to convert another old Whale unit that has died on me.
