Strangely I’ve got TomTomGo to work now.
However, the yearly subscription is a bit steep, so if I could be sure that the CAMC planner is tailored for caravans/motorhomes I’d stick to that. - it’s free after all.
Thanks. I tried the TomTom thing, but couldn’t work out how to get the route onto the TomTom Go app on my phone. Saved to My Routes on the website, but there was no My Routes option in the app. Was i using the wrong TomTom app?
Does anyone know whether or not the Caravan and Motorhome Club online route planner calculates routes suitable for caravans?
Or is it just a copy of the free AA route planner?
We’re brand new caravanners.
Got a long-ish (3 hr plus) journey coming up at the beginning of December to meet up with family near Reading.
Wondering how things stand with (motorway) services and parking. And filling stations too. Any hints?
Thanks. Glad to hear the Tiguan 2 litre diesel is good. The reviews I’ve seen all seem to focus on higher spec models. I’m going to measure the noseweight again, but on level ground this time. I’ll try the water canister idea too.
The car max noseweight is 100 kg, as is the tow bar. Tried moving things forward, but we didn’t have very much with us. Even the awning is pretty light. And then I’ve read you shouldn’t move stuff too far forward.
