    How do you fill yours?

If your Aquaroll is plumbed into the nearby tap and the hose end has a push-fit 'Stop' connector, simply remove this from the Aquaroll and attach an equivalent trigger nozzle to the pipe to fill the water tank. Alternatively recycle an old Pink or Blue chemical bottle which may well have a...

    your first outfit

196? 9'6" Eurocamper 3 Berth Towed with a 1974 Morris Maxi 1500. The van towed as if it was as tall as it was long. Top speed 45 'ish downhill. Our first time out was Easter 1978 in what seemed like a Force 11. 4 month old daughter who slept in her Pram/Carrycot. Gas only, water out of a...

    "Plastic" Water taste

I (not at the same time !) drink, boil and wash in the water that comes out the taps at home but in sixty years I have never sterilised or cleaned the taps or pipework in the house, not do I have any idea what lurks in the pipes etc. outside. Therefore, why should I worry about a nice caravanny...

    high gloss chrome spray paint

I purchased a tin a couple of years ago to try and renovate/replicate the polished aluminium rings on my car's wheel centre caps. I found it very difficult to get a consistent finish and it was noting like the effect shown on the lid. It was too easy for the paint to run before drying and using...

Has anyone seen the shop in the middle of Beer (E Devon) called Woosie's Deli ?

    Caravan vacuum cleaner

Earlier in the year, we bought a Rowenta Airforce Bagless Upright. It has a small triangular shaped head which gets right into corners and you can either use it with a built in brush/beater on a carpet or without the brush on hard floors. As it's 18v it can last up to 40 mins without a charge...

Raising front tyre pressure on your towing vehicle ?

What I am therefore wondering is, is the towing vehicle classed as being "laden" when towing as whilst doing so, the front half of the vehicle is still effectively "unladen", if not more so. Perhaps I ought to recheck my handbook to see if the values recommended relate to a laden vehicle or one...

Raising front tyre pressure on your towing vehicle ?

I still feel that when a vehicle is solo but not towing, I can always see the relevance of increasing the tyre pressures all round (in line with the manufacturers recommendations) as the extra weight will be shares out more or less equally, front and back and generally if my wife and I go on a...

Raising front tyre pressure on your towing vehicle ?

Many thanks for considering this and I can see why towing will create slightly less downforce on the front wheels and therefore loss of traction for steering purposes etc. However, with a car being occupied by two people plus a normal amount of bits & pieces in the back, I cannot see how...

Raising front tyre pressure on your towing vehicle ?

I have been towing a caravan for over 30 years now (of course not me personally !) and have always increased my towcars tyre pressures in line with the values suggested in the handbook. My current car is an Audi A6 Avant, the rear tyres are increased from 34 psi up to 46 psi and the front tyres...

    Swan Neck Detachable Towbar

I have this type of towball on my Audi which despite having a cover over it still manages to go rusty right inside where all the locking bits and pieces are. I just keep wiping the loose rust marks away when I remove the part and have tried a bit of rust treatment on the end of a paint brush to...

    12N 12S Protective Covers

I usually try to insert them under the A Frame cover and wrap them round the rubber bellow part of the hitch. In doing this I always try to have them pointing upwards so that rainwater can't run down the cables and into the plugs.... This always seem to keep them dry but as a back up, you could...

    Dog caravan tips

I'm afraid our 14 year old Cocker (Ella) is a bit delicate these days but she is still pretty fit and acts like a puppy at times ! She has her own half of the side dinette turned into a bed, onto which we put her own doggie fleece blanket. She likes to be covered up with her own blankets from...
