    Fault on Fanmaster 4000 heater

On our last van we had a Fanmaster, can't recollect the model number, but occasionally we had the same problem. There was a reset button located on the Fanmaster casing and in our case operating this restored power. If the mains supply to yours is ok have a look for a reset button.

    Tyre presure dilema

Ray, apparantly the problem lay with tyres bearing the letter "C" in the specification which denoted a commercial rating. According to the Caravan Club the failures were not specific to any particular tyre manufacturer. Like yourself, I'd covered a lot of continental miles with two of the...

    Tyre presure dilema

In response to John L, the tyre manufacturer may not know anything about Gary's caravan but they should know about the tyres they produce, which is the subject of the query. I'm sure John L will be aware of the problems encountered with this particular tyre specification which has been the...

    Tyre presure dilema

You really should talk to the tyre manufacturer on this. However, you probably haven't got time to do it before you set off so I can offer you information that I had from Avon. They supplied me with a table of pressures against max. speed against load for their 175R13C6PR Supervan tyres. From...

    Porch Awning Moves

Isabella supplied two stops with their Combi porch awnings. These clamped into the awning rail at each end of the awning. I would think that these are still available from Isabella or their stockists.

    Spare Wheel Carrier query?

John, hope you solved your problem after taking JohnG's advice. If not, I've had similar problems with my set-up. My van came with a factory fitted Al-Ko spare wheel carrier and jack and I've been moaning for nearly 12 months on how impractical it is to use. However, after talking to Al-Ko...

    Al-Ko Spare Wheel Carrier

John, thanks again, already moved the ducting as close as I can get it to the chasis, I'll have another look for a possible re-route when I have the van at home again. Don't know who designs the vans but I've paid

    Al-Ko Spare Wheel Carrier

Vic, got a fairly heavy van, don't think driving it onto my car's spare would do the spare much good. From what you say it looks as if I'll have to stick with what I'm doing or use "Mayday". Cheers.

    Al-Ko Spare Wheel Carrier

Thanks John. If I position the wheel on the carrier any closer to the chasis it fouls the blown air ducting and I can't pull the carrier off it's retaining stud. If I remove the carrier complete and reverse it so that the wheel is removed from the other side of the van (as advised by Al-Ko...

    Al-Ko Spare Wheel Carrier

I've recently bought a new caravan which had an Al-Ko Spare Wheel Carrier fitted as standard equipment with a 15" 6J spare wheel. As I've experienced three blow outs in the past, and as I've never had one of these carriers before, I thought I'd try removing the spare wheel before going away in...

    Cadac BBQ's

Just bought the Cadac Global Grill which is on offer at about half price from Riversway Leisure www.riverswayleisure.co.uk Haven't used it yet but the legs do fold away. Decided to get one after wearing out the burners on 4 of the small tabletop type.

    attaching an aerial

You appear to have the same opinion of the Status aerial that I have. Having suffered this rubbish for years I bought a Maxview high gain aerial with extending pole. You don't have to remove the jockey wheel, the pole comes with two brackets that clamp to the jockey wheel tube.

    Swift caravans 2004

Paul, had a new Bessacarr (Swift) delivered in July. Haven't had the window problems but had loads of others. Did a lot myself but only just started to see an interest from the dealer to get things sorted. Quality control at the factory must be non-existant and Customer Care is a joke.
