    Google Street View

I found the image of my house on the street view and as I keep my caravan at home on the drive I asked google to remove this view as I felt it gave the unscrupulous thief a head start in knowing what the 'van is and the security upon it. They must have agreed with my comments as the image was...

    More Steadies

As "the Plotter" posted in a previous reply, make sure the feet are fitted correctly. They should click into place when on right. I have a set of feet on my caravan which have also been on my previous 2 'vans too, never lost one yet. That's blown it, I'm probably going to lose one the next time...

BPW now make their own Jack

Thank you, I think I'll stay as I am then and hope never to have to use it. Although it does come in handy for levelling up the van on some of the more awkward pitches.

    Losing the towcar...

Hello Louise, I did have a Big 4x4 to tow my caravan which weighs in at 1634kg fully laden but with the rising fuel and tax costs I changed it to a Ford Galaxy 1.9tddi. It's the 150bhp version, has loads of ooomf and weighs in at 1724kgs. That makes a 95% match for my combination so would make...

no vat over 2.3 metre width

Reading the write up on the Rimor caravan that seems to have started this debate, it is really only the thickness of the windows that have made this caravan over the 2.3m width limit. As it stated in the article, Rimor were about to change the windows to flush fitting ones to stay within the...

    Hi everyone!!

At a guess I'd say the Cardinal with the fire bucket outside. It would be a good idea if everyone placed a bucket outside their 'van. you never know when someone may need the assistance from it. I reckon it would be a good habit for us all to get into.

BPW now make their own Jack

Hello Terry I also have a caravan with a BPW chassis. I had a Kojack hydraulic jack with plates for my previous al-ko chassis caravan. The plates fitted well with only a little bit needing to be shaved off the top edge. It would definately be better to have a jack that is designed for my 'van...

    Hi There

Hi Lynn, I too have a 2009 model Compass Corona Club. It's a cracking 'van and will do you well. Haven't got a motor mover though. It would make life easier too as mine's a twin axle jobbie. Enjoy your hols and if you're stuck, just ask. Most people are willing to help if you need it

    Hi everyone!!

Hello Parksy The funniest part about caravanning in the snow has got to be just when you're comfy reading a book or magazine then a load of snow drops off the roof onto the a frame, it doesn't half make you jump if you're not expecting it.

    Tyron, worth having?

Hi, The big thing about the Tyron bands is that you would hope never to rely on them. The other thing is that should you need to have a tyre changed some tyre fitters won't fit them due to having tyron fitted.

    Hi everyone!!

My wife and I started caravanning back in 2004 with a Buccaneer Elan 14(1994) which really did spoil us. Changed to a Swift Challenger 550(2005) with a fixed bed which started us on the fixed bed bug. We now own a 2009 model Compass Corona Club 624 with the fixed bed and full width washroom. I...
