    battery charge

Hi Jamie, The text book way to do what you ask is to remove the battery from the caravan and take it home and connect a Ctek battery charger which adjusts the voltage / amp requirement of the battery. Charge the battery on a wooden board - not a concrete floor. Its a bit of a pain to keep...

    Another lights problem

Do the lights work with the caravan unplugged ?? If so, you know the fault is with the van, so you can check it with a multimeter.

    Another lights problem

Homer, Just one comment - dont keep incrasing fuse amps. The designers have made a design fuse for a purpose, and if there is a partial short, and you keep upraating the fuses, it WILL cause a fire. If that happens - maybe a replacement loom. Now thats lots of dosh !!!!!!! Find the fault -...

    Damp Meters

I am planning on upgrading my caravan shortly, and I would appreciate any help with advice on damp meters. I have heard that types are available without puncturing the wall surface. Are they effective? Any further tips appreciated. Thanks

    Internal LED Lights

Thanks Parksy - please let us know how you get on with the Solar panel sometime please. I use a Honda genny at the moment on CL's, and it would be interesting to know how you get on without EHU and with solar. Thanks

Ye Gods - its enough to make your brain explode. I have read so much on this site about bad British build and good German build - and good British build. What in Gods name is someone expected to make of all this. Its all very well for everyone to expound their views and opinion but for...

On the subject of build quality, I have a Lunar (1991) that was built usung steel screws on the rails, and I had to replace them with stainless steel screws. Now I read that Coachman still use steel screws. I cant beleive any manufacturer still does this. Can anyone clarify this please. Is it...

    Caravan Lights wiring problem

lee, Pin 6 is definitely brake lights. Its got to be a fuse, unless all the brake bulbs have blown, which is an impossiblty - or is it. Check the fuses again

    Caravan Lights wiring problem

Lee, You also mentioned that your fridge blew the 15 amp fuse. This is fed off the 12S plug on terminal 6 with the return on terminal 7. Being the way things are, you have sizeable troubles. I would advise you now to go to a towbar fitting workshop and get them to put their test rig in the...

    Caravan Lights wiring problem

Lee, All I can say, if both your vans were built after Aug 1998, then there should be no problem in connecting your car 12N into your Dads van and testing lights and systems. No further actions are necessary.
