    hyundai santa fe 2.0 crdt

I have a CRDT which is 2 years old now. It is fantastic for towing and we took our outfit - Compass 534 1450kgs - to Monaco last year and will be going to Switzerland and Italy this June. The car is trouble free, a little thirsty but very comfortable. Good choice!

    Tuscany CL's

Trawling through the internet looking for farm camp style CL's or anything like it with no joy. Has anybody found or stayed in anything like these in the Tuscany region? Thanks.

Anyone been to Kiko Park Oliva?

Went to Kiko Park Rural in 2005. Same owners but an hour inland from Valencia - built around an old farm in the style of a mock Spanish village in the middle of the countryside. Pitches are generous and facilities excellent but of course, this place isn't by the coast. Highly recommended though!

    Hyundai Santa Fe

Hi Neil, Weve got 2.00 CRDT Santa Fe. Tows our Compass 534 like a dream and we've been around much of France and Spain where it is as solid as a rock especially on the motorways. The new 2.2 will have even more torque and weight and the 5 year warranty kind of seals the deal. Go get one!

    sites in spain

Michael, We drove through Spain via Madrid to Grandada and up the coast through Valencia then home through France. Found a gem of a site at Tabernas called Oro Verde (www.oroverde.co.uk - if you want more photos, let me know). English owned olive grove with about 20 pitches, electric and...

    Tunnel de Tende

The wife and I are travelling down memory lane. We were last down there in the late 70's so are aiming to explore the old haunts around Menton, Roquebrune etc.. We are stopping near Bourg St Maurice for a couple of days first and then travelling down through the Frejus Tunnel via Turin and on to...

    Tunnel de Tende

Hi Chris and thanks for your reply. We are looking to stay at Sospel and I was looking for an adventurous way to drop down from Turin. On reflection, I'll go down to and along the coast then head North from Menton. Even that road's a bit hairy! Cheers, Phil.

    Tunnel de Tende

Has anyone got any experience of towing through the tunnel de Tende between Italy and France on the N204. I know the col de Tende is out of bounds for caravans and hope the tunnel will do the trick. Thanks, Phil.

    FAIT Multipla

Hi Tom, I've just come back to the Forum after some time away and found your question. I am on my second Multipla and connot praise it highly enough. The wide track and short overhang make for safe and comfortable towing whilst the engine (diesel only - don't even think of the petrol!) is...

    Hyundai Terracan

Hi Brian, thanks for your reply and sorry for late reply - been towing in Spain. Is mpg on Terracan really bad or do you think it improves as the engine loosens up? Also how do you find Hyundai back up? Phil in Christchurch.

    Elddis Avante 534 Noseweight

John, I've got a Compass 534 - same as yours - and the 'official' noseweight from Explorer is 85kg. By the time you add gas etc. in the locker it can go off the scale which means I move some stuff behind the axle. It takes a bit of doing to get the nosewieght down (say 80kg) and balance right...

    Ferry Prices

Dream on Mike. Like Mike says, it's amazing that you can get good deals on the Channel if you book and pay early - even at peak times. But look at Speedferries.com which is offering some pretty good deals Dover-Bolougne. Phil.
