    Scratches On Windows

Hi Annie, I had a few scratches across every window on one side trying to avoid some pill*ck driving too fast on a narrow road. I found some stuff called Xerapol on Fleabay and it workrd a treat. Its a plastic polishing paste made in Germany, not cheap but cheaper than a new window. Dave

    Thetford C250 pump

Hi Bill, I had mine leak on our Bailey in July whilst in France so had to remove it and bodge it with silicone sealant till we got back. You are on the right track, its only held on by the clips either side of the pump body to keep it from falling down. They don't want to shift though and its...

Has anyone stayed at these North Brittany Campsites: Porte La Chaine, Pleubian or Ar Kleguer, St Pol de Leon

Hi Tim, We stayed at Ar Kleguer St Pol De Leon last year for a couple of nights at the end of our holiday and enjoyed it. We were looking for somewhere close to Roscoff for an easy ferry connection back to the UK and it exceeded our expectations. They have a website that is worth lookong at...

    Detachable Swan Neck Tow Bar

Ditto with my Brink detachable, I tend to leave it on. Strangely it seems to deter the people who drive right up against your rear bumper, so it stays on. There is a measurement of clearance from the bumper and more, have a look at this link...

    Brittany - near Quimper area

I can thoroughly recommend Pors Peron, on the coast near Duarnanez. It is owned and run by an english couple who can't do enough for you. Check out their web site, http://www.campingporsperon.com/index.html Dave

    Brittany

Hi Dirk, We have only just returned from our first visit to this beautiful and tranquil site and it won't be our last I can tell you, we have already been making plans to return next year. There are quite a few very good reviews on other camping websites, I have just done one for Pors Peron and...

    Atc trailer control

Yes John, I agree. I have been in today but the Bailey dealer who is also an Alko 'specialist' tells me that they are not allowed to work on the ATC equipment, only Alko themselves or Miriad Products that can work on them. I have managed to get them to send me a new LED assy. to see if that...

    Atc trailer control

I have ATC fitted to my Burgundy and its been great, however since it came back from its first service the LED fails to illuminate. When I plug it into the car it goes through its self test but then I have no idea what its condition is. The brakes aren't activated so thats good. Dave

    Isabella Isafix Clamps

Yep, really easy. I have upgraded most of these fittings on my Isabella Minor for the new type which are much easier to use. There are two sizes you just pick the one that matches the thickness of your poles. They are a push fit, not glued on but some may seem like it. Good luck. Dave

    Refueling in France

I used my card with much trepidation whilst at Intermarche in Saumur 2 years ago and it worked a treat. I chose to use it out-of-hours so that it was nice & quite, (if it all went pear-shaped there was nobody to see me) However, I needed to fill up for our return journey and this time it didn't...

    Al-ko ATC System

I have it fitted to my S7 Burgundy and am very pleased with it. To be honest its not that you notice it working, it is quite subtle. It responds to signals generated by an inbalance in wheel speeds when as 'snake' is sensed at a predetermined level. The unit responds by applying the brakes to...

Dealer Delivery Dates - how accurate?

WE actuall got our Burgundy three weeks early. We were told that the previous model going through had been suspended early as they had run out of the relevent shower trays because of supply issues when Thompson Plastics had their problems. There loss was our gain. Dave.

    New bailey senator calafornia layout

Really impressed with the layout, it seems a nice compromise of space. However, the Senator California is rather heavy for my towing vehice so will be having a good look at the Pageant version, the Sancerre, tomorrow at the NEC. Dave.
