I've put a tiny bit of talcum powder on the pads, and wonder no longer sqeaking. Possibly it lubricates a bit, but i.e. Stabix stabilizers advise some grease on the pads.

Thanks Damian and Martin E. I cleaned the towing ball with sandpaper and washing petrol. Is brake cleaner possibly better?

On my new Elddis the Winterhoff 3000 stabiliser cracks terribly when driving. Although the pads seems in good condition (on the + sign), I have replaced the front one and cleaned with sand paper the back one. The tow ball is sound blank metal and cleaned thourougly. What else to do? I red...

Thanks Roger, Lutz. Indeed, UK caravans are rare in Holland. Though tracing would be easy, I'd better locked the van carefully.

I've just bought a new Elddis caravan, and I am wondering whether the CRIS security system has any effect in Holland or other countries other than UK. Or does the system only work in UK?

I consider to fit a Status 315 antenna, but now according to EEC rules, no longer analog but only digital signals are submitted as per Monday 11.12 in Holland (rest of Europe follows). Does this mean that any Status is useless? Anyone aware of this?
