“Combined” Weighbridge weight correct or wrong?

Isn't the MTPLM on the plate, visible, on the side of the caravan? Call me Mr Cynical,🙂

    Are pitch prices going crazy

Prices of everything have gone up and you either accept that or move on. I'm as conscious as most people about how far my money doesn't go but as far as caravaning goes I don't really question the cost if it's somewhere we want to visit with the caravan. If you just take the financial aspects...

“Combined” Weighbridge weight correct or wrong?

What I find curious about this exercise is the preciseness of the result and how it matches 100% the plate rating. If this happened to me I would be questioning the resolution and accuracy of the weighbridge. Did they actually weigh it correctly or just got a near enough figure to the plate...

    First time on serviced pitch

As you've said yourself.....each to his own. I can understand why some folks prefer not to lug water and waste containers around despite the wheels. The site I was in last week had a steep slope to and from the service point. Dragging 40kg of water up and down the slope wasn't a problem...

    First time on serviced pitch

Thanks Steve.... If it works for you that's good but I prefer to keep things simple so I'll try the grey convoluted pipe first. Something you may or may not have thought about with the white poly pipe is that you can get the smaller sizes to fit inside the larger sizes. So you can adjust the...

Anybody switched from a Caravan to a Motorhome?

We started in the late 90s with a caravan and thoroughly enjoyed it although I found towing a little stressful when going to unfamiliar places. Pre Google😉 Then in 2006 we switched to a motorhome and thoroughly enjoyed that and found it a little less stressful than towing but needed careful...

    Bubble has burst?

We've just returned from a site in Northumberland and it had many empty pitches during the week we were there. The area seemed pretty quiet alround.

Yes, the thought had occurred to me.

    First time on serviced pitch

Was a time when we all got out of our chairs to walk across to the TV to change the channel or turn the volume up. Time moves on. I'm disappointed there's no app for the aquaroll or wastemaster.

    First time on serviced pitch

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm beginning to wish we weren't going to a serviced pitch. I have no problems filling and emptying carriers even in the rain or snow :) . The only reason for the serviced pitch on the next trip is that we're meeting up with our daughter and grandson, who are...

    First time on serviced pitch

In a couple of weeks we're going to be on a serviced pitch for the first time. I've sourced - but not bought yet - the mains adapter for the Aquaroll but haven't made any decision about what to do about the waste pipe. Any printable suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks

Still have not got 12v fridge feed working!

I wonder sometimes that as these threads deviate so much from the OPs question, it puts them off from ever coming back. We seem to be talking amongst ourselves and not addressing the post that started this thread.

    Trivia.

It's the inside of a caravan toilet flush tank.

12v supply to fridge fault after testing voltage !! Help please

Do you have a car with a Smart Alternator? Mine has and will not keep the fridge permanently alive as the alternator voltage is not constant. Some fridges monitor the 12v supply and if too low will turn off and issue a warning. This is the case when my Smart Alternator is in the low state and...
