    Reich motor mover

Thanks. You can use either. I tend to use a hand drill when at home just for ease, but weight is a real issue when travelling, so use the manual handle for the steady`s when away. For anyone on the fence with regards a mover purchase, it really is well worth the investment !

    Reich motor mover

We also have a manual wind Reich mover. I usually wind to the centre of the green band. I think I have only once had to wind further, when the tyres were wet and there was a bit of a slope, I wound it to the very edge of the green / red. As Elsdon57Ruby said, as long as you get good traction...

    Rotted section of floor

Hi John, I would advise that you take a deep breath and expose the damp areas to try and get a better feel for where the source could be. This might involve removing floor cupboards or storage bays, but you will benefit from this - it may seem daunting depending on your DIY skills. The fact you...

    Warm fridge on gas

I`m no expert, but have some experience, having had to do the "turn upside down" trick myself. The purpose of that is to mix the refrigerants inside the system if they have degraded / separated over time, but if the 240v is returning a good level of cooling, it doesn't seem as if that is the...

    Water problem

If it is indeed a carver cascade 2 system you have, you might find this link useful - I experienced exactly the same issues and it was the Non return valve, which is a right bugg3r to reapir, and needs patience and care when removing the old valves due to their fragility and tendency to break...

Found a new lead on my caravan

I would suggest no one will be able to ID the cable type until we see an image - then the guessing game begins ;)

    Handbrake advice

Craig, I am not a caravan, or brake expert - this is only my practical experience. when you were moving your van into its "spot" once you got home, did you move it backwards at all ? I have a 1993 swift, and the braking system on it is such that, if you push it backwards (effectively in...

    Truma us 130 advice please

I`m not particularly familiar with your type of heater, but I had similar issues with our Carver cascade when we were getting ready for our first trip. Our problem was eventually diagnosed to a faulty non return valve in the water system. Have you got running water at the taps ? . Can you...

    Calor Lite Recall IMPORTANT...PLEASE READ

I replaced a standard 6kg with a calor lite FOC at Calor Glasgow. No paperwork = no problem. There is quite a noticeable reduction in weight, so I`m pleased. I was also advised that the lite was being phased out of production, but the existing stock would be present for some time

I`ll be following your post with interest - I will be replacing our ageing battery soon, and will undoubtedly have similar questions to yourself.

CARVER CASCADE 2 DRAINING BACK INTO BARREL

Thanks for all the advice. I have traced all the pipework, and stripped down both sets of taps, and have found 2 potential causes - loose inlet to the hot tap at the kitchen, plus leak at the toilet sink tap (the kind that pulls out to become a shower). Its amazing how this can all happen over...

CARVER CASCADE 2 DRAINING BACK INTO BARREL

Thankyou for this information - do you know what diameter of pipe is in a standard 1993 swift van ? i.e would the 12mm push fit be able to be fitted into my existing pipework ? I see that truma sell a 10mm inline NRV - available online. I would be happy to fit an inline if it solved my issue (...
