Braithwaite Village Caravan and Camping Club.

Hi all, has anyone here stayed at Braithwaite Village Lake district? Its only because this afternoon we were pricing up a few sites for September and Braithwaite came in at £336 for seven nights.(£48 per night). We'll ring the C& CC direct tomorrow to see if the online booking is correct just...

Who needs a Kia with 502 hp and costs "from" £82,185 ?

Yes I mean't Hyundai. But I've noticed the new Tucsons have their rear indicators built into the corners of the bumper just where it is most vunerable?

Be honest, you just wanted to tell us you drive a Lexus😉

    Indicators on cars

I disagree. I once had to pick up my dad from nearby train station on a freezing cold foggy night driving along a small B road by the side of a quarry. If it wasn't for the powerful fog lamps on my Capri 2.0 S lighting up the road either side I'd of ended up where they built Bluewater shopping...

Agreed. Manufacturers are allowed to shrink indicators all in the name of style but won't provide front fogs on the lower spec offerings as it isn't a requirement.

I think we'd be beside ourselves if our caravan was stolen which is why it is kept in secure storage and boxed in completely whilst we prepare the 'van on our driveway. They become so very personal over time.

CAMC: SHOULD SITE WARDENS BE EXPECTED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO THOSE THAT ARE LATE UPON ARRIVAL?

Yes thats good advice. Luckily it only happened the once but I remember us in hysterics shooshing each other whilst crunching over the stones on the hard pitch! The wardens were lovely!

Sorry I did not mean 'site' as in Caravan but construction 'site'. I can happily say after 19 years of blissful caravanning we've not had so much as a clothes peg nicked off our whirly bird! 😄

It was either wine or a jug of fruity Pimms🤭

After having three vehicles robbed and countless other thefts on site happening to me, I am inclined to disagree with you. I avoid criminals as much as the police lol!

CAMC: SHOULD SITE WARDENS BE EXPECTED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO THOSE THAT ARE LATE UPON ARRIVAL?

Exactly! Many years back we were very late arriving to a site but after keeping the wardens up to date where we were on that stinking hot day, they very kindly bent the rules and gave us a empty pitch for the night just in front of the barrier to minimise disturbance. Naturally we quickly...

Do not leave your outfit unattended in motorway services even with security devices attached. We are extremely cautious when stopping in these and keep the dash cam running too.

CAMC: SHOULD SITE WARDENS BE EXPECTED TO ALLOW ACCESS TO THOSE THAT ARE LATE UPON ARRIVAL?

That was all very reasonable Gary and many wardens would be prepared to accommodate after the 8pm cut off but ofcourse only if they're on site and not out for the evening. But judging by the camc review I previously posted, it just serves to demonstrate how much grief they get from the...
