Would'nt this situation have a bit to do with your insurance also.Not taxed also means insurance void!

If you are using "Scrapyard" weighbridges, be aware of the "Puncture" possibility from sharp bits of metal etc lying about. Very often you wont know youv'e picked up a piece until you have left the yard and travelled a couple of miles!

It cannot be denied that this topic has been done to death, on this & numerous other "Forums" and nothing is new, just about every opinion expressed has appeared many, many times, often by the same people. Reminds me of the times I've visited trout farms at feeding time!!!!

When switched to "CAR" all 12v circuits in the van should work! so there should be no interuption to the pump, I'm assuming the water is being heated by Gas!

We just make sure the van fitted carpet is thourghly vacuumed then use double sided tape between the two, obviously you need to take a roll of the tape with you. We also tried the thin white membrane, it was so so, but now we just use tape at one end! Tankie

Beats me why they keep changing the systems. There cant be a lot of difference between charging the van battery through pin 4 & running the fridge, through pin 6, when the engine is running and the switch on the ESM4 is in the central position as it is on my 2004 Charisma. What I cant...

Hi Ian See my reply in "Fridge change over switch" on this subject. Basicaly according to my Swift Owners Handbook, if the plugs are wired up correctly, then when towing, the rocker switch should be in the "central" position, then when the engine is runnig there is power going to the fridge, so...
