Bought some replacement switches (thank you JonC), and replaced all the switches. Unit works perfectly now. On dismantling the old switches, it looks like the contact plating has worn through to the base metal, which had corroded, hence the poor continuity.

I think that you have to switch off the fridge, switch it back on again, then try and start it on gas. It's in the manual somewhere. I got caught out like this too.!

Thank you for your effort Craig, but no, I already have that one. It was the actual circuit diagram for the NE190 control panel I was after. Guess I will just have to trace out the cct the hard way.!! :( Once again, many thanks.

Most likely a pointless question, but does anyone have a circuit diagram for the NE190, or am I going to have to do it the hard way?
