Speed limiters could be launched on UK cars within months under new EU rule

On our Volvo, the cars onboard cameras read road signs, and the speed limiter can either be set to a certain speed, or react to the road signs. I was dubious about the whole thing, but having tried it properly, its a fantastic system. Strangely it cant be used with the adaptive cruise control...

    Christmas Greetings

I would have just said Bah Humbug and left it at that. ;) Seriously though, Merry Christmas y'all.

    The end of an era.

Oh boy, just had the insurance quotes for the new Volvo. My Shogun, £289 per annum. Volvo £571 per annum. I knew I shouldnt have mentioned Polestar. At least its cheaper than the Grocklebox. Handy hint. Compare the Meerkat is way more expensive for the exact same policy than Money Supermarket...

    The end of an era.

I liken it to this, I have sold a tin box, built by people that couldnt care less, have even less ability, and no concern for the end user. Backed up by customer services that prefer to treat you as a minor annoyance. I pay a fortune to insure it, a fortune in fuel to tow it, and a fortune to...

None of that Gucci clobber for me, nor Brillcream, I worked for a living. ;)

    The end of an era.

With a 0-60 in 4.8 secs, pushing just over 400bhp, turbo charged AND supercharger plus Polestar, I will leave the traffic light grand prix for those with a similar name :D Its no fun picking on babies. No doubt I will spend most of my time stuck behind caravans ;)

    The end of an era.

I have to admit I have loved and still do love the Shogun, but they are dated now as you know, its time for some luxury, and real horsepower. Staying as safe as I can, as we all are. Good grief, what times we live in.

    New houses and caravans

I agree with Ray, we too had an issue with restrictive covenants, via a neighbour complaining about the caravan. It didnt develop as I challnged them to enforce the covenant and they climbed down as it wasnt worth their effort. However, on new developements, I would expect they would be...

    The end of an era.

No Classic Saabs here, we have picked up a demonstrator with 900 miles on the clock, Volvo S90 T8 Recharge R Design, twin engine, with Polestar upgrade and loads of extras. Note, the user manual is 621 pages.

    Is it really Christmas?

The way Omicrom is hurtling around, I think it very wise to avoid crowds, especially as most shops and venues dont appear to be enforcing mask rules. Too many selfish morons around Im afraid. We have the closest family here on xmas day as usual, and the rule is, a lateral flow at least before...

Well, it won't be line dancing, I can tell you that much. Ive seen enough cowboys in the 30 years we were caravanning.

    The end of an era.

Well, the deed is done, not only has the caravan been sold and already departed, but my beloved gas guzzling boys toy Shogun has been sold too. From being very much of the Clarkson school, cubes cubes cubes and power, I beg to report that I have ordered a hybrid. I never thought I would ever...
