    Awning Shoe Storage

Hi Folks, whilst away recently, we saw someone with a Shoe Storage system in the awning. My wife decided that this is something we need. The Isabella shoe organiser is a bit pricey for what it is at £105, so I was wondering whether people use it or any alternatives? TIA.

Some observations from our first longer stay away

We took our 2024 Bailey Unicorn Cabrera away for its first longer, off grid stay at Latitude Festival in Henham Park, Suffolk for the weekend past. My initial observations from the time away were: Not all Baileys have bad build quality/fall apart on first use - yes, one of the blind clips...

Feeding cable into caravan for 5G antenna while parked up only

That's really part of it. We're a Bailey, so the AluTech potentially presents reception problems.

Feeding cable into caravan for 5G antenna while parked up only

So for reference, it's a ZTE U50 MiFi 5G device that has additional ports for external antennae to improve reception of the mobile signal in weaker signal areas. Rather than clutter the roof of the caravan with an AVTex aerial and router, which seems like a far more expensive way of achieving...

Feeding cable into caravan for 5G antenna while parked up only

Have to work from the van from time to time and it's fairly graphics intensive. So need as much bandwidth with as little latency as possible. Will drop to 4G if that's all that's available.

Feeding cable into caravan for 5G antenna while parked up only

I've a 5g MiFi point that I have an outdoor antenna that can be attached to the outside of the caravan while parked up, to improve the 5G reception. The question is, what's the best way to get the cable into the van without drilling any holes? BEaring in mind that the antenna is probably going...

Sharp 24" Caravan TV - WiFi connection issues

Finally coming back on tis one, having had a chance to work out the issues. The TV connected to my home network without any issues, so we tried with a different phone, which it also connected to. When we tried to connect to a Samsung, we realised that this was the cause of the problem. Home...

    Connecting caravan to home power

We picked this up off Amazon to connect the van to household power (we have an outbuilding where the power socket is protected from rain so I think this looks okay). Has anyone experience of using these adapters and is there anything to watch out for?

Sharp 24" Caravan TV - WiFi connection issues

What did you have to do to sort it out?

    Large awnings. Airbeam or pole?

Wr bought a small airbeam porch awning to get started with the van, having had a Vango Airbeam tent for a few years. The ease of putting up strongly swayed ir judgement in that respect. Having said that, for larger structures, how well do airbeams hold up? If you have an airbeam awning, would...

Sharp 24" Caravan TV - WiFi connection issues

Thanks, yes the phones stream off each other. Have to admit that I haven't tested it at home. Am thinking it may need a wired connection at first then allow it to download an update, which would be infuriating..... But it would at least fix it.

Sharp 24" Caravan TV - WiFi connection issues

We bought one off these Sharp TVs for the new caravan and whilst it works very well when hooked up to the Antenna for DTV (excellent picture quality and good sound), we were unable to get it to connect to wifi hotpsots on either of the phones we tried to connect it to. Does anyone have any...

Newbie Caravan Owners - Bailey Unicorn Cabrera

Hi, as someone who grew up going on caravan holidays as a child, as very much older adults, we've now acquired our first "grown up" caravan. We went with a Baileys Unicorn Cabrera and are towing with a VW Transporter 4-motion, 204PS TDI model. Very happy with the combination. We took it for...
