Thanks Sarah, I knew you'd get around to it eventually Andy

    Night stop list

The introduction of Northern Ireland aires is due to the efforts of local motorhomers in persuading councils and tourist bodies that they will help to bring visitors to the areas. The new one at Donaghadee brings the total to 5. I guess the PMH Nightstops are as close as we get in the rest of...

    Night stop list

An update to the Nightstop Listing. The Paddock, near Westbury, Wiltshire is now closed. The owner has sold his property. Andy

    Night stop list

This sounded like great news so I checked with the local council. Unfortunately, although the maximum stay for parking is 72 hours they told me "it is not permissible for motorhome/caravan owners to sleep, cook, camp, use their awnings or inhabit their motorhome/ caravan at any point during...

Excellent news, thanks Sarah! When do you think we will be seeing the improved website with a dedicated Nightstop section? Andy

    Night stop list

What is happening to the Nightstop Scheme? It seems to have become a low priority for the magazine, there's not been much of a mention in the last two issues, at the very least there should be a listing published in every issue. Apart from the updates, there is no listing on the PMH...

    Where's my hot water gone?

There's a schematic of the heater here: http://www.leisure-supplies.co.uk/productdetails.php?id=63 I can't see a non return valve indicated so there must be one associated with the water pump. I guess it's a submersible pump inside the water tank, someone who is familiar with Hymer water...

    LPG abroad Europe

You will need a range of adapters, see: http://www.autogasshop.co.uk/lpgautogas-filling-adapters-1-c.asp Assuming your filler point is the standard UK bayonet type, the ones you need are the three in the left hand column on that page. The top one is the new 'euro' adapter, supposed to be...

    Where's my hot water gone?

Without knowing which Truma and what van you have I would take a guess that a non-return valve has failed and is allowing the content of the hot water part of the Truma to syphon back to the water tank. Andy

    Maintenance

It would be worth taking a look at John Wickersham's book, The Motorcaravanning Handbook, see my review here: www.ukmotorhomes.net/reviews/motorcaravanning_handbook Andy

Towing a small car behind a motorhome

I can't visualise a dolly where the car 'goes between the wheels'. There are really only two options for towing a car behind a motorhome, one is on a trailer, the other is an A-frame. The A-frame is a removable frame which is attached directly to the front of the car, allowing it to be hitched...

Towing a small car behind a motorhome

As I understand the legislation a dolly can only be used to recover a broken down vehicle, not for the sort of towing you have in mind. Andy

Habitation 12 volt electrics not working

I'm not sure how the Ci system works, do you have a control unit that's separate from the control panel? You have power to the circuit board in the control unit but no power at the separate control panel? It could be a fault in the control unit or the panel, is the system made by Arsilicii, I...
