    Caravans and customs.

They look inside your van to make sure no one is stowed aboard but in 30 years of travelling we have never been searched so it must be just random. We have travelled through Northern Ireland (we live here), Republic of Ireland, U.K and abroad on many occasions and never been searched, just a...

Site near Tunnel - French side

Municipal site at Watten, very close to Gandspette. Try to google it A website is not listed in the Caravan Club book - which it usually does if a site has one. Nor does the Tourist Info office (http://www.watten.fr/spip.php?article195) list a website. Put your best French accent on, and try...

    Calais to Vendee

Another vote for the municipal site at Beaumont sur Sathe but be there before 5.00pm as it is really busy with Brits overnighting. You can book it, I believe See reviews here http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?

fuel near rosslaire on route to killarney flemings white bridge

Diesel is still a little cheaper in Ireland over UK prices but not as good as it used to be. Maybe 8-10pence at present. There is a garage on your left at the top of the hill after leaving the port which might suit your needs. The lay-byes in the South of Ireland are all blocked off with low...

which way to (go on you know you need to know where)

Type in www.viamichelin.co.uk and go to directions. Put in France as country and start at Cherbourg and finish at Pontorson. You can get all sorts of ways to go from Shortest to Quickest. You choose the one you want. Haliotis is a lovely site.

    le harve camping

Have a look at Le Brevedent at Blangy le Chateau. About 40 mins from ferry and a www.les-castels.com site. A bit more expensive but probably worth it.

    Travel to Ireland

Ferries to Ireland, as I well know living here in Northern Ireland, are ridiculous this year. We try to use Tesco Vouchers as much as possible. The Caravan Club have certain sailings with free caravans with Stena( restricted sailings from Fleetwood to Larne and Stranraer to Belfast. 50% off...
