    Bitter Beer Prices

I enjoy a pint in my preferred local pub or our RBL club - sometimes have no option as my dog Charlie drags me in on the way back from a walk knowing treats and fuss are waiting for him! Currently quite fortunate as my preferred local sells Sea Fury (nice sharps real ale) for £3.50 a pint in the...

Price hike: 20 year old cars.

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/cars/news/victory-for-mondeo-man-value-of-20-year-old-ford-family-cars-have-soared-in-recent-years-as-have-vauxhall-s-corsa-and-renault-s-megane/ar-AA1jcspb Thought this was interesting, with rises in the price of living, perhaps a change in car buying habits / demands...

    Car Insurance continue to spiral😥😥

In my previous post (#34 on this thread) I shared that the insurance renewal for my shogun had come down by £50 vs last year. Now renewing for my vw t4 caravelle with same company , price has gone up fr £143 to £190. Ah well, no increase in price if considered combined but not what I was hoping...

Caravan and camping course for beginners

Very well done you, you're wise and you won't regret it, I did the CaMH course too a couple of years ago for very similar reasons. I think that unless people have experienced friends etc for guidance it should be thought of as an essential. What's covered is brilliant, although I'm still I feel...

    New car colours

Certainly not -now classic interior design - our hall, stairs and landing are the same 😁 I do think two tone factory option colours on cars would be great though.

    New car colours

When I was a kid, my Dad had an old Wolseley 16/60 in two tone (navy blue over grey) - I liked the two tone colour scheme.- In the 80's / 90's it started to become popular to decorate houses with a dark colour below a dado rail and light colour above, would have liked to see this on cars again.

    Car Insurance continue to spiral😥😥

I'd agree with this, in my younger days (many moons ago) I'd buy an old car with 6 months+ MOT left for a couple of hundred pounds or so max (mini, mk1 fiesta, mk2 escort, capri to name a few - wish I'd had a lock up and a crystal ball). TPF&T was my only option then, slightest bump would have...

    RAAC Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete

Hello All, -A little off topic but somewhat aligned. In Cornwall and to an extent in Devon between around 1900 & around the early 60's, Mundic block was commonly used. Mundic's make up was of 'concrete' blocks that contained waste materials from mines, mixed with aggregate: such as beach sand...

    Car Insurance continue to spiral😥😥

My old Shogun (2004 3.2 diesel) passed it's MOT again on Tuesday with no advisories and I've just renewed it's insurance, comprehensive - pleasantly surprised - no changes in excess etc vs last year but down by £50.
