    Nearly quit caravanning.

If it is of any help to you I sometimes have 40ft fridge trailers wrapped on their roofs if we have a leak problem. Some I have kept for 8 years and the wrap has always stayed water tight. The only slight issue is that the ageing process is slightly different to the sides.

    Toll tags

If you are looking to buy a toll tag can I suggest you have a look at this site http://www.alis-sa.com/gb/offres/libertFrequence.php The tag is usable all over France with the exception of 2 tunnels and is also accepted in a lot of Vinci car parks anywhere in europe. Before you buy one it is...

    E Class estate diesel

Not sure if you have made your purchase or not but just last weekend I contemplated the same question as you. Having been used to Merecedes v6 diesels for a few years now I was trying to talk myself into believing I could save a few pounds and opt for a 4 cylinder car. In isolation they are not...

Door locked when I closed it??

I have in the past done something similar. Upon leaving the caravan my back pocket snagged on the lock handle causing it to lock. Grateful that I had a spare set in the car as it is so easy to do.

    Caravan MTPLM

Although we have humorous (I hope) remarks about this thread it is good to see something like this on the forum being duscussed and debated without malice. Having followed the points raised here I really think Parksy or some other mod that can reach Nigels ear should maybe ask the mag to get a...

    Caravan MTPLM

Without having the time to research this to the nth degree as some of you I will throw in a few points. My experience is mainly with goods trailers and as a cpc holder of more than 20 years whom has had a few appearances due to drivers running incorrect axle weights etc this would lead me to...

    Generator cover

Try putting an inch piece of rubber matting under it. Used to do this years ago with the old Honda genies and while it does not kill the noise completley it does help.

An awning you can put up in 10 minutes- New kampa Air

It was on the still photos that made me think this and I thought there was that zipped entrance for the caravan door I would have thought that you would just have to accept a certain amount of slant on a sloping pitch which on the bright side would mean that the rain next summer will not pool...

An awning you can put up in 10 minutes- New kampa Air

Really like the idea of this. I just cannot seem to find the product on the Kampa web page which is a bit of a shame. Would like to see a complete set of photograghs as looking on the dealer websites it appears to me that the awning also has a back to it. If this is the case it could possibly be...

Why do German Autobahns Flow More Freely than UK Motorways?

Having been up and down the A3 to Austria a couple of times this year I would tend to agree with you Lutz. You do however get a few drivers over there who seem to flick the indicator and pull straight out. Not much fun when your on the outside with a conctete wall next to the passanger door and...

Why is it ilegal not to say.....

Smiley I think you are trying to have your cake and eat it. So if your house is burgled when you are not in the insurance company who covers you will not have to pay out due to the fact the burglar did not have his hand in your pocket.

Why do German Autobahns Flow More Freely than UK Motorways?

Agree with Lutz about the mirrors although I suspect it is more down to attitude. As I live in Scotland motorway driving is not something I do a lot when at home but if I am sailing from Hrawich as oppposed to Hull or Newcastle I tend to venture onto the M6 where it seems to be the norm to "hog"...

    Fuel prices

The only problem with that idea Colin is you would need to have confidence that the company would still be around in a few weeks time. Outside Stirling a few years back a retailer took over a forecourt and was selling cheap fuel providing you signed up to a research programme. This allowed...

    Bed Strength

I will confess to breaking a slat a few weeks back. Nothing extreme involved you understand just opening the heki in the morning to catch the sun and as I reached up with my weight on one knee I heard that little splintering sound. Good news was it is my wifes side of the bed so no need to...
