    Top Brake light

Probably why Bailey stopped fitting the HLBL on Unicorn S4 models but they returned to it on the S5 and DeLuxe.

    Top Brake light

Whilst they are a 'nice' thing do have, do remember that high level brake lights are not a legal requirement and are not checked as part of the MoT if fitted.

Rear locker won't open - Bailey

If you can afford an aerosol of it, white Lithium grease is extremely effective and doesn't melt or wash off. It is also good on the handle mechanism of multi-point patio/conservatory/porch doors if they loose their ability to spring back to the rest position. 400ml is a tenner though!

    Electrical Issues

If the battery is down but not out and the 12V PSU is working there is a very old trick that you can use to bring the battery back. Disconnect the battery - surprisingly the negative is best for safety - and connect a 12V 21W bulb (or filament headlamp bulb) in series between the black cable and...

    Electrical Issues

Older type of fuse but readily available but still found in caravans and obtainable from the likes of Halfords or any other auto spares. They are NOT specific to caravans.

    Electrical Issues

The fridge will only work on 12V when the caravan is being towed and the fridge is powered from the towing vehicle. Otherwise it runs from mains or gas only. Most caravans have a fuse - around 20A - between the battery and the 12V distribution. Check the battery voltage with mains off - should...

    Tyre pressures

The max pressure embossed on the sidewall is to meet US market requirements and has nothing to do with the UK.

Traveling down to France Sept 2025

In France every city, town, and most villages (even small ones!) have a municipal campsite. Generally they are clean, well maintained, easy access, and not far out of the village or whatever. Use your phone or tablet and browse for:- {town name}.fr and search the site for campings - or sometimes...

    New to this

Note that Wetherby Services is off-road - exit at J46 and turn right. The next services after that are also off-road on the right at J51 - Leeming Bar. Watch the lane discipline. There are also services at Scotch Corner, again off road to the east side. There are few places to stop on the A66...

    Type of screws-TV Bracket

DANGER Many caravan panels - especially Bailey - do not use honeycomb construction. The are just a basic frame of the panel with some extra 'assistance' beams hanging around inside and covered by the facia. What is more there is no strengthening. We have just got a Seville S5 Deluxe which comes...

    North Yorks Coast

C&CC site at Scalby at the north end of Scarbro is quite good. Oh, and its Whitby. You are confusing I think with Whitley bay north of Tyneside.

    Car theft

We had two Passat estates that had and they had this system, albeit much easier. If set for driver's door only, one press on the fob unlocked the driver's door, a second press opened the others. All doors were deadlocked when locked.

    Car theft

I had a Co car, a Citroen Xantia estate reg P204SGH so a 1996 model and that had a numeric keypad that requied a four or five digit code - which you could change at will - before it would start. 29 years ago and they've still got nothing much better!

    Car theft

Not after-market - standard factory fitted item. I didn't state the make and model of our car so how can you say it is not on other vehicles?

    Car theft

It is usually a sequence of presses of the fob and the touch panel on the front door handles, or there is a button to press before you exit the vehicle, or its on the infotainment system. Whichever you do it is straight forward and simple. I won't say the sequence in our car but it works! Many...
