    Replating motorhomes

I see to many 3.5 ton restrictions on roads while we are in France , we like the out of the way spots little villages etc and would not like to be banned from them so I would stick to the 3.5T myself. Have fun with your van and stay with the limit you go for. :)

Is this to be your first motorhome ?. Not many Hobby vans in the UK but as they are German built should be ok if a bit expensive when you add on the extras we all need LOL. Have you looked around any shows ? they can give you a good idea of what you think you want i.e size of van, berths etc...

    Pub overnight stops

We need more Spanish and French style camper stops in the UK. Have used a few in last couple of years all under £10 with electric water and grey/black water drains. No showers or toilets but just a good clean safe legal place to park overnight. B)

Gas struts for roof light on motorhome

Will get camera out and photograph the pipes for you no problem. It is a simple job I did it while in France were we found the pipes and with just a small saw cut the two slots in each pipe, long one for hot days small one for when its a bit windy or cooler days. Think will work on most if not...

    Motorhome levelling ramps

Don't use Jacks myself but have seen them used. Need to be on blocks of wood so using both is a chunk of your payload. Me sticking with the yellow plastic even if my set is now looking like they are on their last legs so to speak...

    Suitcase generators reviewed

Me I'd not buy one too much agro from other motor home owners. No such thing as a silent generator. Just get twin batteries or solar panels.

    6 kg gas bottles!

You are right once you have a gas bottle the dealer will exchange it for a full one, but you have to pay them lol.

    6 kg gas bottles!

Calor Lite are the most popular, I have 2 of them. Try any local Calor dealer for price etc. Was a supply problem 12 months ago but all sorted now. I also use a French Le Cube as we are in Europe a lot and can always get it replaced in any or most large supermarkets in France.

Advice on buying second hand demountable camper.

Can see the use in the USA and Canada out in the true wild but in the UK and Europe not so much but if you want to be different go for it.Me I will stick to a coach build motorhome for space and comfort.

    Motorhome ramps

Yes mats are good on grass pitches as well, get the ones that fit the ramps I don't think they cost much and are stored in the spare wheel space at the rear of our Auto Trail Tracker so are out of the way when not in use.

    Motorhome ramps

Most people seem to use Fiamma and they work ok for most vans even on bigger vans than yours. Look on the ebay type of sites cost less than £25. We got the bag with ours to help keep the locker clean and tidy, well worth getting along with a Silver Screen. Best and most used accessories we have.
