I would like to adpt them where i wont to run the wire,s under the van , back up and attach a jack plug and put into the socket of the transfomer, to run the lights this way, i,v got 12 volt car wire and new jack plug.

I think myself it would work ok, but thought best on hear to ask before carrying this job out, thanks for any advice on this , john..

Hello John,

Some of the terminology you have used does not make it crystal clear what your intentions are, so it is not possible to confirm that your proposal will work and be safe.

Even though the risk of electric shock is much less with 12V systems, other aspects of 12V caravan supplies can lead to risk of melting insulation and ultimately fire.

So if you are not absolutely confident in your proposal I suggest it would be safest to have an electrician plan and do the job.
