Has anybody asked for a quote to do the 13 pin conversion back to the fuse box. When I enquired at Discover the electrician stated he had never been asked the question and gave a rough quote of £300 !!

He stated he would need to contact Coachman for wiring diagrams etc and he would need the van for a week.

Why would they need a wiring diagram?

At the moment you have 2 cables 12n and 12s these are routed down the caravan A frame and enter the caravan they are terminated by the fuse box.

If you replace the original sockets and cable to a single cable and 13 pin plug the point of entry and termination in the caravan remains the same.

The colouring of the orignal cable is standard so by looking at the terminations in the caravan you can tell what termination is what and make a note of this.

Simply solution buy a 13pin plug and a few metres of 13 core cable(enough to to do car to caravan entry point, this is a round

I rewired mine to 13 pin plug, took less than 2 hours for both car & van, unless you are colour blind, it is well within the capacity of the average mister fix it.

When I took our van in for it's annual service I asked that they remove the 2 seven pin plugs from the caravan and use the 13 pin plug of my cable adaptor. This has worked really but there is nowhere to store the plug when not in use. I was only charged
