The site we are on as a season pitch is putting metered electric in during the winter and someone has mentioned that you can buy a new plug that plugs into the electric point which then can be locked in place with a padlock so no-one else can either unplug you and use your electric or when your not there plug into your socket,Does anyone have any ideas where i can buy one from? i have found one on the net but cant find where to buy it from. Please help .

sorry daisy not got a answer about the lockable plugs
but a thought did occur to me reading your post if you are going to leave the cable attached what about the van end the lockers are not that secure
and is the EHU point specific to your pitch or not if it is, iit should be possible to isolate it in the main junction box over winter however if it is not specific to you it is the owners responibility to make sure no one uses it on your bill.
the third option is to take a date stamped photo of the reading before leaving it over winter then take another one on return and compere the readings.

Not much use unfortunately as we found out. luckily the difference was only about 8 units and we suspected the gardener had plugged in an electric hdge cutter. Their argument is that they cannot watch the site 24/7 and you may have used the electric at some point. Even disconnecting and removing the cable does not help as they state you could have plugged it in at any time. Locking is a fairly sure answer.
Needless to say we move off the site 2 months after it was introduced! Another siet we wlooked at wanted £5 a night for electric hoo up even though you were seasonal.
