Hi,

I have recently purchased a 1994 Swift Conqueror 640 Salon and all was working well, but recently things have gone haywire!

When i'm running on the leisure battery all is well, lights work, battery meter works, water level meter works, taps work, in other words all is well.

When I use mains hook up or power by my generator none of the 12volt items work!

My control panel is a Plug in systems Power Modular System PMS6

Any help would be excellent.

Thanks in advance,

Richard.

It sounds like your 12v power supply, i.e battery charger has broken down, but, do you mean that even when the battery is still connected and u plug in the mains it switches everything off.

Or your hooked up without a battery, i can understand that one, ive never known a duff charger do the other though, usually it stays on with battery power and just goes flat eventually.

What type of gennerator do you have? A common fault is the gennerator has overspeeded when taken off load the the out put voltage goes up to about 300volts which in turn Blows up the Plug in systems charger G S

Hi Keith, thanks for replying.

When the battery's connected all is well.

So it sounds like what you said about the 12v power supply, battery charger has broken down, could be right.

Is this something easy to fix, can i do it myself?

Many thanks,

Richard

I have a SIP Medusa compact 950, and as i say all was well until recently.

Does this mean i would need to replace the entire plug in systems console?
